چکیده

Conjugated polymers containing boron and gallium diiminate complexes were prepared with various electron-donating comonomers via preand post-complexation methods, respectively. From a comparison of emission quantum yields between solution and film states, it was seen that all polymers containing group 13 elements possessed an aggregation-induced emission property. Additionally, the frontier orbital energies and the optical and electrochemical properties of the polymers can be tuned by altering a central element at the complex moieties as well as by changing a comonomer unit. In particular, it was demonstrated that the gallium atom can contribute to stabilizing the energy levels of the lowest unoccupied molecular orbitals, resulting in narrow band gaps of the conjugated polymers. This study presents the potential of gallium not only for preparing solid-state emissive conjugated polymers but also for fabricating low-band gap materials by employing the conjugated ligand.

Energetic Tuning in Spirocyclic Conjugated Polymers

Precise control of the energy levels in a conjugated polymer is the key to allowing their exploitation in optoelectronic devices. The introduction of spirocycles into conjugated polymers has traditionally been used to enhance their solid state microstructure. Here we present a highly novel method of energetic tuning through the use of electronically active spirocyclic systems. By modifying the ...

Investigating the Effect of Ultrasonification Time on Transition from Monolithic Porous Network to Size-Tunable Monodispersed Silica Nanospheres via Stöber Method

Abstract Uniform colloidal monodispersed silica nanoparticles were synthesized via stöber method using ammonia as a basic catalyst. Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM) was confirmed the homogeneous nanospheres. The decrease of TEOS concentration (0.067 to 0.012 mol L-1) and an increase of H2O concentration (3 to 14 mol L-1) at 14 mol L-1 NH3 fixed accelerated the rate of h...

Synthesis and Characterization of Aminocarboxylato Iridium(III) Complexes

Aminocarboxylic acids, such as 2-aminobenzoic acid, react easily with [Ir(COD)(PMe3)3]Cl, (COD=1,5-cyclooctadiene), in THF to produce hydridoaminocarboxylato iridium(III) complexes in high yields. These octahedral complexes are formed via oxidative addition reaction of the O-H bond of the carboxylic group with the central metal. The starting iridium(I) complex losses t...

Synthesis and Antiplatelet Aggregation Activity Evaluation of some 2-Aminopyrimidine and 2-Substituted-4,6-diaminopyrimidine Derivatives

A series of novel 2-aminopyrimidine and 2-Substituted-4,6-diaminopyrimidine derivatives have been synthesized and their anti platelet aggregation activities were assessed against ADP and arachidonic acid- induced platelet aggregation in human plasma using light transmission aggregometry. None of the compounds showed satisfactory activity against the aggregation induced by ADP. However, satisfac...
